Balhyo Cha that literally translates to "fermented tea" is a traditional local black tea in Hadong, also known as Jaeksal or Jaeksul in the regional dialect. Our Balhyo Cha undergoes a very unique oxidation process of spreading out tea leaves at dawn in a bamboo grove in Jiri Mountain to expose them to the dew from the bamboo.
This Balhyo Cha, made entirely by hand, has delightful notes of cocoa, roasted grains and steamed milk with a honey sweet aroma. It has no bitterness unlike typical black teas, which makes it easy to drink.
Our Balhyo Cha is grown and processed by a certified organic farm(MAFRA KOREA, USDA, EU).
